Dak x Maison Deux Blanket
For our sixth anniversary, we wanted DAK to step off the coffee box and onto a new medium, so we teamed up with Maison Deux, the Amsterdam-based textile brand founded by Pia and Woes Weinberg.
Together, we made a jacquard-woven blanket from 100% New Zealand wool, featuring an original artwork by Montréal-based artist Valéry Lemay. Warm, weighty and soft, it was first made for our showroom and is now available online in limited quantities.
FROM MAKER TO HAND
The blanket is jacquard-woven from 100% New Zealand wool, meaning the artwork is woven directly into the textile rather than printed onto it. This gives the blanket its texture and makes the design reversible, with an inverted version of the pattern on the other side. Made in Lithuania by one of Maison Deux’s long-standing European manufacturing partners and finished with fringed edges.
IN USE
Over the back of a chair, across a lap, or wherever it ends up at home.
MORE ABOUT MAISON DEUX
Also based in Amsterdam, Maison Deux creates bold textile pieces that bring colour and personality into everyday spaces. Founded by Pia and Woes Weinberg, the independent design brand combines playful graphic work with high-quality materials and responsible European production. A shared appreciation for distinctive design, craftsmanship and objects made to be lived with made the collaboration a natural fit.

Technique
The design is woven directly into the textile using a jacquard technique, rather than printed onto the surface. This creates a richly textured, reversible pattern, with the colours inverted on the opposite side. Made in Lithuania by one of Maison Deux’s trusted manufacturing partners.

Artwork
The blanket features an original illustration created for DAK by Montréal-based artist Valéry Lemay. Created for our sixth anniversary, the artwork takes DAK’s visual world off the coffee box and into a completely new format, woven directly into the fabric for this limited edition.

Made For Everyday Use
Made from 100% New Zealand wool, the blanket is warm, soft and substantial, with a fabric weight of 480 g/m². Wool is naturally durable and resistant to dirt and odours, making it a piece designed to be used rather than kept away.
